We are biased, but Berneray boasts one of the best beaches in world (also called the “divine” West Beach, it fended off competition from Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Croatia, Montenegro, Sicily, and Corsica claimed third place in a list of Europe’s top 20 beaches). The West beach is a half an hour walk from the cottage and the smaller - but no less captivating - Traigh Lar (East Beach) is a 5 minute stroll.
